Sex Education season three is set to be “massive” if you take the word of costume designer Rosa Dias who opened up about the season finale in a new interview with Metro.
The hit show has been a revelation for Netflix and the actors, catapulting their careers into stardom. With the forthcoming season about to land, Dias spoke with Metro and described the season’s finale as “quite interesting”.
“When you see series three, the end of it is really quite interesting,” Dias told the publication. “Whatever happens in four, if it happens, wow – the writers have got a challenge. They’ve got a massive challenge on their hands.”
There are a few words in that sentence from Dias that may worry fans of Sex Education. The show has yet to be renewed for season four which, considering the success of the previous seasons, comes as a shock.
Dias continued in conversation: “It will be really interesting to see if they do do four, what they’re going to do. It’s massive.”
Speaking about the new season, star of the show, Asa Butterfield, opened up about what audiences have in store for season three. “There’s a bit of a time-jump since the season two cliffhanger,” said Butterfield. “Otis is back at school but he’s got different things on his plate. He’s grown up a bit and become slightly more sassy.
“It’s been fun to portray his newfound charisma. Don’t worry, though, he’s still tragically awkward too.”
