The legendary American singer-songwriter Tina Turner passed away on May 24th, at the age of 83. Turner breathed her last at her home in Küsnacht, Switzerland, following complications related to cancer, strokes, and kidney failure. In the wake of her death, the search for her documentary Tina has gone up on the streaming giant Netflix.

Tina was released in 2021 and chronicles the life and career of Turner. It delves into her early life, rise to stardom, tumultuous relationship with Ike Turner, and her subsequent reinvention as a solo artist. The documentary features interviews with Tina Turner herself, along with archival footage and interviews with friends, family, and collaborators. It provides an intimate and comprehensive look at the life of one of music’s most iconic figures.

In a March 2021 interview with Today, Turner discussed how the documentary Tina parallels her memoir Happiness Becomes You, published by Atria Books in December 2020. The film was dedicated to the memory of her son Craig Turner and her longtime friend and road manager, Rhonda Graam, who also served as her personal assistant for over 45 years.
