‘Riverdale’ season seven release date announced

The seventh and final season of Netflix’s teen show Riverdale will come to the streaming service on August 31st, which means that the entire series will be available to watch from beginning to end, with the first episode arriving on August 23rd.

The show was created by the dramatist Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and arrived in 2017 as a spin-off from the Archie series of comics and sees modern versions of the Riverdale High School students who’ve been going around since the 1940s.

They include Archie, played by KJ Apa, Betty, Jughead (Cole Sprouse), and Veronica (Camila Mendes). While the Archie novels were quite innocent, the Riverdale series is anything but and features several adult occurrences throughout its seven seasons.

They include plots of homicide, inside conspiracies and acts of adultery and betrayal. However, there are still moments of happiness with the show, with musical episodes aplenty as well as throwbacks to the days of yore.

There are a few big stars in Riverdale, too, including Twin Peaks’ Mädchen Amick, soap drama hero Mark Consuelos, Scream’s iconic Skeet Ulrich, and 1980s legend Molly Ringwald.

Seasons one to six of Riverdale are available to stream right now, so there’s still time to catch up on the entire show if you haven’t caught it yet. But don’t wait too long as the first season seven episode will be out on August 23rd.
