Rebecca Loos speaks out against David Beckham Netflix doc

Rebecca Loos has spoken out against the viral David Beckham documentary on Netflix, accusing the former footballer of “portraying himself as the victim” and making her “look like a liar.”

The former glamour model Loos allegedly had an affair with David Beckham in the early 2000s and features in part of the popular series following the Beckham family story.

Loos accuses David Beckham of damaging her reputation by playing the victim and alleging that she caused former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham to suffer.

The glamour model, now 47, hit the front pages in 2004 after she sold the story of an alleged affair with David to the press.

The Beckhams have always vehemently denied the allegations. In the documentary, Victoria described the ensuing period of conjecture and public scrutiny as the “hardest period” for the Beckham family.

“He can say whatever he likes, of course, and I understand he has an image to preserve, but he is portraying himself as the victim, and he’s making me look like a liar – like I’ve made up these stories,” Loos told the Mail on Sunday. “He is indirectly suggesting that I’m the one who has made Victoria suffer.”

“So many people had forgotten about all of this,” she added. “He’s dragged it back up again in a way that is affecting my reputation.”

Loos remained complimentary to Victoria, saying the former Spice Girl “came across well… very natural, very honest, very open,” but “I can’t say the same for him.”
