According to a Royal Expert, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are “tied to Netflix” because of their reliance on the finances on offer.
Reportedly, the couple has been at odds with Netflix over the creative freedom of their upcoming documentary after asking if they could “tone down” the show following the Queen’s death. It’s alleged they want to edit remarks made about King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla.
Speaking to Page Six, a source revealed: “A lot of conversations are happening. I hear that Harry and Meghan want the series to be held until next year. They want to stall.”
Despite their wishes to change the documentary, Royal Expert Tom Bower believes they can’t escape the multi-million dollar contract they signed with the streamer.
Speaking on GB News, Bower was asked: “Tom, do you think Harry and Meghan are fast learning what they signed away when they took this big Netflix deal? I would say they signed away their credibility and their dignity.”
Bower responded: “Well, that is our view but it is not theirs. They need the money and they need it now more than ever because they have got no other source of income. So, I think they are just stuck with the devil now. They are tied to Netflix, they are tied to their book. All the criticism they are going to take means nothing because that is the only way they are going to earn their money.”
