The platform has taken the man who spent years playing James Bond and decided to drop him into Tyler Rake’s world of guns and covert missions. What are we meant to do with that information? Carry on with the day as normal? Pfft, not happening! Scream all you want because we sure are.
And as if Brosnan weren’t enough, Netflix has brought in Don Lee and Joe Taslim, while Chi Lewis-Parry and Siena Agudong are joining the cast too. Idris Elba and Golshifteh Farahani are back, which means Extraction 3 is turning into one hell of a blockbuster.
Now, who is Brosnan playing? Would Netflix like to tell us? Of course not, because that’s what it does. It gives us enough to keep guessing. His character is under wraps, with no name and no clue about where his loyalties lie. We don’t know whether he will help Tyler or make the poor guy’s life even worse. Rude, Netflix, very rude.
So yes, there is room to speculate. Could Brosnan be connected to Elba’s mysterious boss? Could he be the man sending Rake on his next mission? We need something here. Off to Reddit!
At least we know Hemsworth is back as Tyler Rake. He survived the first Extraction, then returned in Extraction 2 and threw himself into another nightmare.
Netflix has not revealed the plot of film three, but Sam Hargrave is back to direct, which is good news for anyone who watches Extraction mainly to see Hemsworth get hurled across every surface. Filming is underway in Australia, with Brosnan and Hemsworth spotted shooting in New South Wales.
And the release date? Again, nothing. Not even a window. Seriously, what the hell, Netflix? Still, we are happy that Hemsworth is sharing an Extraction film with Pierce Brosnan. All the platform has given us so far is one hell of an action cast. Netflix, you show-off! You’ve got us.
