Olivia Rodrigo’s ‘Guts’ concert tour is coming to Netflix
Netflix is premiering a special concert film of Olivia Rodrigo live on stage amid her Guts world tour run, allowing fans to experience the magic from the comfort of their own home.
Following the release of Rodrigo’s second studio album, Guts, in September, 2023, the singer embarked on an extensive 100-show run beginning in California. It is set to wrap up in March 2025 at Lollapalooza Brazil, a worthy celebration of her album’s achievement of Platinum in the UK and topping the charts in 15 countries.
In a statement announcing the film, Rodrigo said she was “excited to share the Guts World Tour with my fans,” adding, “For those of you who didn’t get a chance to rock out in-person, now you can have the best seats in the house! And to the fans who cheered, screamed, and danced with me, I am so glad we get to do it all over again!”
The special concert was filmed during her show at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles and will give fans a chance to experience the coveted sold-out show featuring hit songs like ‘Vampire’, ‘Traitor’, ‘Drivers License’, ‘Get Him Back’, and more, alongside a rendition of Chappell Roan’s ‘HOT TO GO!’ with the Midwest Princess star.
The Guts Tour has been a monumental success for the singer after she sold out all dates and grossed nearly $100 million. This is a huge leap from her first tour, the Sour Tour, which earned $3 million with just under 50 dates, per Evening Standard.
Rodrigo’s show follows a series of successful concert films on Netflix and other streaming sites, including Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, Lady Gaga’s Chromatic Ball Concert, and Beyoncé’s Renaissance. Rodrigo’s setlist also sees her performing songs that marked a pivotal moment in her life when she leaned into the things she felt she left unsaid.
“When I write, my goal is to capture the essence of what I’m feeling in a way that’s going to be poignant and concise,” Rodrigo told Variety last year. “On Guts, I felt I had a lot I wanted to get off of my chest – the shame and embarrassment and regrets. All feelings that are hard to externalise in everyday life but I think this record gave me an outlet to process them.”
The concert film will be streaming on Netflix from October 29th.
