‘Nobody Wants This’ season two gets a release date
Netflix recently revealed the release date for the second season of fan-favourite romantic comedy series, Nobody Wants This. Joanne and Noah will be returning sooner than expected to the screens to take their story forward in the upcoming season.
The show stars Kristen Bell and Adam Brody as Joanne and Noah as they navigate a variety of trials and tribulations through the course of their relationship. Joanne is an agnostic woman who co-hosts a podcast with her sister, talking about love, relationships and intimacy. Noah, on the other hand, is a rabbi, and although his an unconventional approach to it, he is deeply connected to his religion.
The two meet and somehow instantly hit it off. What follows are complications involving meddling mothers, the ideal ex-girlfriend, and suspicious sisters. But most importantly, the looming problem remains their differing stance on religion. The show is created by Erin Foster and is loosely based on her life.
Releasing on October 23rd, season two will be packed with exciting updates for the audience. Along with the return of the original cast, there will also be some welcome additions and special features. Leighton Meester is set to star as an Instagram influencer who was also Joanne’s archrival when they were kids. Fans are most excited to see her on the show as the Gossip Girl fame is married to Adam Brody.
Along with Meester, Miles Fowler, who is known for Bottoms, Alex Karpovsky, known for Girls, and Arian Moayed, who is known for his work in Succession and Inventing Anna.
Beyond the cast, even the crew behind the incredible show will be seeing new additions. Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan, best known for their work on Girls, will be joining as executive producers and showrunners. Nora Silver, who presides over Jenni Konner Productions, will also be executive producer.
The first season had ten episodes and ended at a bittersweet moment. Despite Joanne deciding not to convert to Judaism, Noah reunites with her. And Esther has found out about Sasha and Morgan’s budding friendship. Fans are hopeful for another season of comedic complications resolved by romantic understandings as Joanne and Noah come closer. They loved the couple’s chemistry and the overall compelling and refreshing narrative of the show.
