New trailer released for the ‘Stranger Things’ stage show

Exciting news for Stranger Things fans as a new trailer for the stage adaptation of the Duffer brothers’ Netflix smash hit has dropped.

The upcoming West End show, Stranger Things: The First Shadow, is set to take audiences on a nostalgic journey more than two decades before the events of the beloved series.

The production focuses on characters Jim Hopper, Bob Newby and newcomer Henry Creel during their younger years and takes place in Hawkins, 1959.

We’ll follow a young Hopper as he deals with a broken-down car and see Joyce Maldonado (who viewers know as Joyce Byers) striving to finish school and escape the clutches of their small town.

The Duffer brothers previously teased: “You will meet endearing new characters, as well as very familiar ones, on a journey into the past that sets the groundwork for the future of Stranger Things.”

While fans eagerly anticipate the fifth and final series of the TV show, the play promises a whole new thrilling perspective on the Stranger Things universe.

Written by co-executive producer Kate Trefry and directed by Stephen Daldry of The Crown fame, Stranger Things: The First Shadow is scheduled to open in London’s Phoenix Theatre in late 2023.
