Netflix’s is making a documentary about SpaceX's civilian flight 'Inspiration4'

Mankind will be taking a giant leap when SpaceX’s first-ever all-civilian flight named Inspiration4 takes off in September 2021. If all goes well, we might all be able to venture into the vast space for work, tourism or other recreational purposes!

This historic and groundbreaking mission will be closely documented by Netflix in their upcoming series Countdown: Inspiration4 Mission to Space, directed by Jason Hehir. Hehir is known for his remarkable work alongside his team on ESPN’s documentary based on Michael Jordan’s life, The Last Dance

The documentary series is set to stream in five individual parts where the first few episodes, debuting on September 6, 2021, shall mainly focus on how the intense and vigorous astronaut training that was undertaken by the commander and billionaire Jared Isaac man as well as his crewmates, namely Hayley Arceneaux, a 29-year-old cancer survivor, Air Force veteran Chris Sembrski and Dr. Sian Proctor.

Being the first-ever docuseries to be based on a real-time event, documenting it on a daily basis, the finale will be a feature-length episode detailing the mission’s journey and eventual return, including rare and invaluable footage from the interiors of the spacecraft. Although a release date for the finale has not yet been released, it should stream by the end of September 2021. 

Netflix has also decided to release an animated feature called A StroyBots Space Adventure, where the crew members shall interact with children and answer their questions about the mission. It is set to debut on September 14, 2021, just a day before the mission is scheduled to begin!
