Netflix's cast reveal for upcoming 'League of Legends' animated series, 'Arcane'

Netflix has recently revealed the names of the voiceover cast for the upcoming animated League of Legends series, Arcane. 

Arcane will be dealing with the origin stories of some of the most prolific and well-known characters from the game’s universe. The series will provide a different perspective and have various familiar faces across the entertainment industry voicing the League of Legends characters. 

Hailee Steinfeld will be reprising the role of the lead character Vi. Steinfeld is a well-known figure in various major motion pictures, recently having starred as the voiceover actress for Gwen Stacy in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse

Apart from Vi and some other original characters made for the series, Jinx, Jayce, Viktor and Caitlyn will make an appearance from the gameverse. 

Katie Leung, known for her role as Cho Chang in the Harry Potter franchise, will reprise the role of Caitlyn. Ella Purnell, who was recently seen as Kate Ward in Netflix’s 2021 Zack Snyder film Army of the Dead, will portray the role of Caitlyn’s nemesis, Jinx. 

Lucifer star Kevin Alejandro has been roped in, to voice Jayce while Counterpart star Harry Lloyd will be seen voicing Viktor. 

Arcane will witness the addition of three original characters Silco, Vander and Mel. Jason Spisak, known for having lent his voice to nearly 100 video games, will voice Silco while veteran voiceover actor Toks Olagundoye will be seen voicing Mel. Vander will be voiced by J.B. Blanc, a veteran in lending voice to video games. 

The trailer for the series is set to premiere on September 25, 2021. Although the release date has not yet been announced, a lot of buzz surrounding the same is hinting at an early 2022 release.
