Netflix’s 'Bridgerton' season 2 first look revealed in a new clip

One of Netflix’s most popular titles, Bridgerton was the best Christmas gift the streaming platform could have given its viewers amidst the raging pandemic. Now that the show is coming back with a second season, the first look has been revealed in a new short clip.

Based on Julia Quinn’s novel series, the showrunners are following the book chronology. After basing the first season on her first novel The Duke and I, this new season will focus on the sequel The Viscount Who Loved Me.

This second season will focus on Anthony Bridgerton, the eldest Bridgerton sibling, a womanizing and dashing young man’s love life and romantic pursuits. As he tries to find love, he struggles to settle down.

Anthony will clash with Kate, a very headstrong and fiery character whose sister is initially supposed to be the eldest Bridgerton brother’s woman of interest. They will most likely engage in a war of words as has been proved by the first-look clip.

The clip shows Anthony and Kate, played by Simone Ashley, standing in a garden outside a banquet, sparring with each other in a witty exchange of words. Anthony’s crude ways of describing a woman irk Kate who, with her sharp words, maims him and leaves him flabbergasted.

While we eagerly wait to see how this combustible and explosive relationship eventually culminates into love, take a look at the clip below:
