Netflix users praise long-awaited new feature

Netflix has finally added a long-awaited new feature to its TV interface that the users have received warmly.

Previously, the streaming service had a list called “Continue Watching” that collated all the films or TV episodes that viewers watched before, stopping at the mark where they stopped watching. The feature allowed the viewers to resume from that very point. However, viewers did not have manual control over the queue that has now recently been added.

This annoyed many when they were unable to remove something they did not like watching from the “Continue Watching” queue. However, they have the liberty to manually edit their list now and the autonomy to remove items they no longer want to watch.

Netflix first tested out this feature on Android on select users around two years back before implementing it to a greater extent. Now the feature is available for all users on all devices.

Users have taken to social media to celebrate this long-awaited change, some even asking for a “hallelujah” or an “amen”.

Recently, the streamer has lost a number of subscribers to rising competitors like Disney+ due to the latter’s strategic acquisition of popular shows like Modern Family and How I Met Your Mother and the sudden price hike of Netflix subscriptions.

However, there are enough reasons for Netflix users to retain their subscription, and this added new feature is just one of the many pros of being a Netflix consumer, besides getting access to several hit Originals like Stranger Things, Squid Game, All Of Us Are Dead, Money Heist, Hellbound, Bridgerton, The Crown, Peaky Blinders, Sex Education among others.
