Netflix unveils autumnal movie release dates

Netflix has revealed some of its major film release dates for this fall on its Tudum website, with films like Zack Synder’s Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child Of Fire, Bradley Cooper’s Maestro, and Sylvester Stallone’s documentary, Sly arriving in the coming months.

The entire film slate includes 28 films that will drop on Netflix from September onwards. Wes Anderson’s short film based of Roald Dahl’s The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar will air on September 27th, following a limited theatrical release.

Synder’s Rebel Moon will premiere on December. The highly anticipated film has two cuts, one a tamer, family friendly version that “anyone can enjoy and watch,” the other intended for older audiences.

In an interview with Tudum, Snyder said: “The director’s cut is close to an hour of extra content, so I think it’s a legitimate extended universe version. You really get to see a lot. It’s just more painted-in all the way.”

Documentary fans also have plenty to look forward to, with Netflix airing Scouts Honor: The Secret Files of the Boy Scouts of America, The Saint of Second Chances, and Stamped From the Beginning over the fall period.

Likewise, rom-com fans have plenty of film choice over the coming months, with Nuovo Olimpo and Love at First Sight set to air soon. But come Halloween season, the likes of The Devil on Trial and Sister Death will be a hit with horror fans.
