Netflix UK announces 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' season 7 release date

Brooklyn Nine-Nine is one of the most beloved sitcoms of recent times and now UK fans have something to rejoice in.

After the series was cancelled by the original broadcaster Fox, it transitioned to NBC and season seven aired in the US from February to April 2020. Since then, fans in the UK have pleaded with the streaming service to upload the latest series.

Netflix announced the news on Twitter, stating: “The best day of the year is when we can *actually* give you an answer when you ask where the next season of B99 is. Today is that day. ” Adding, “Brooklyn Nine-Nine S7 comes to Netflix UK/IE on 26 March.”

The 13 episode series sees original cast favourites return with Andy Samberg, Andre Braugher, Stephanie Beatriz, Terry Crews, Melissa Fumero and Joe Lo Truglio all reprising their roles as the weirdest police force in the world.

Fans reacted to the news in jubilant fashion, tweeting their adulation for the show and rejoicing in its return to the streaming platform.

As of yet, there is no exact date coming from NBC regarding season eight but with the network purchasing the rights for the show and confirming a return in 2021, it would seem that production is likely only an official announcement away.
