Watch Netflix’s trailer for Emily Osment sitcom 'Pretty Smart'

Starring Emily Osment in the lead, Netflix has released the brand new trailer for the upcoming sitcom Pretty Smart — set to stream on the streaming platform on October 8th, 2021.

Despite most of Netflix’s October content being spooky and scary to keep up with the Halloween theme, Pretty Smart is a light-hearted comedy series with a set laugh track, that rings in the nostalgia of the ‘90s sitcoms.

The show is full of Disney stars, especially since Osmont, who is known for her role in Hannah Montana, will be joined by Wizards of Waverly Place’s Gregg Sulin as her potential love interest. Also joining the duo are Olivia Macklin, Cinthya Carmon and Michael Hsu Rosen.

Created by Jack Dolgen, the creator of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, and Doug Mawd, the creator of How I Met Your Mother, the series will surely be a riot. It is executive produced by Jim Brandon, Brian Singleton, Pamela Fryman and Kourtney Kang.

With ten thirty-minute episodes, the series will focus on Osment’s character Chelsea who moves in with her ditzy sister Claire after being brutally dumped by her boyfriend. She meets her sister’s wacky roommates, including a social media influencer named Jayden, a lawyer-turned-spiritual-healer Solana as well as the very attractive personal trainer, Grant, who later becomes a potential love interest.

Claire and Chelsea are nothing alike and the latter finds it difficult to adjust to the former’s exuberant and loud ways. However, the trailer promises a happy-go-lucky comedy where the two sisters battle all odds to forge a strong bond.

Chelsea manages to outgrow her own inhibitions and look beyond her hardened exterior to let these four people into her heart and form a beautiful one-of-a-kind friendship that also tantamounts to a loving family amidst the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles.
