Netflix releases explosive trailer for latest volume of 'Stranger Things'

Netflix released the first volume of Stranger Things season four comprising seven episodes on May 27th, 2022. The streamer has now officially dropped the trailer for the upcoming second volume which is explosive and dark.

Scheduled for a July 1st, 2022 premiere, the second volume will reportedly have two gargantuan feature-length episodes with the finale being more than two hours long.

The fourth season is set across three locations, namely Hawkins, California and Kamchatka in Russia. While Hopper struggles in the Russian prison before having a face-off with the Demogorgon, Eleven is seen struggling with the loss of her powers in California before being dragged away to an isolated lab in Nevada by Dr Owens and Dr Brenner who attempt to restore her powers.

The nightmare-inducing demonic entity Vecna wreaks havoc on Hawkins, killing several residents in a violent and gruesome manner. The first volume ends on an epic cliffhanger.

The trailer for the second volume features Dr Brenner’s ominous warning, “Hawkins will fall”. The entire gang is seen sitting in a car, presumably Argyle’s pizza van, sporting a sad look on their faces.

Eleven and her friends return to Hawkins’ Creel House which is where Vecna aka Henry Creel lived with his family and developed his powers. The harrowing images feature violence, gore and an apocalyptic end for the Hawkins crew.

The fourth season will probably end on a grim note as promised by the trailer. Eddie Munson aka Joseph Quinn also promised “absolute carnage” in the second volume.

The fourth season has been viewed for a record number of hours. While Netflix copes with a subscriber exodus and dwindling stock prices, the fourth season might help restore the streamer’s position in the streaming wars.

Created by the Duffer Brothers, Stranger Things season four features  Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Joe Keery, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Maya Hawke, Priah Ferguson, Robert Englund, Jamie Campbell Bower, Matthew Modine, Brett Gelman and Raphael Luce among others.

The show will come to an end with a fifth and final season. The second volume is scheduled for a July 1st, 2022 release on Netflix.
