Netflix has released the trailer for Sex Education actor Asa Butterfield’s new video game horror film Choose or Die, which will release on the streamer on April 15th, 2022.
The intense trailer makes the film seem like a cross between Black Mirror and Truth or Dare. It revolves around a coder named Kayla, who revives an old game from the 80s, unleashing terror and madness.
The game forces her to make relentlessly terrifying choices that involve the daily lives of people around her, often having adverse and gruesome repercussions.
Iola Evans plays Kayla and is joined by Butterfield, who plays her associate. Together, they try to find a way to defeat the game.
The rest of the cast includes Eddie Marsan from Ridley Road, Angela Griffin from Waterloo Road and actor Robert Englund, known for his role as Freddy Kreuger.
Directed by Toby Meakins, the film is based on Simon Allen’s screenplay.
For the film, Butterfield is seen replacing his British accent with an American one. He is currently busy with several other projects down the pipeline, including All Fun and Games alongside Stranger Things actress Natalia Dyer.
Meanwhile, Otis will be making a return soon in Sex Education season four. Watch the other three seasons on Netflix now.
