Netflix drops official trailer for 'Sex Education' season 3

Netflix has finally dropped the official trailer for Sex Education season three after much anticipation regarding the series, the third season is set to premiere on Netflix on Friday, September 17, 2021. The trailer is filled with surprises and there is indeed a lot to unpack.

The first two seasons of the show was very well-received by the critics and audiences alike due to their refreshing and quirky approach to various issues that plague teenagers throughout high school, including their growing curiosity towards sex.

Besides addressing important topics like safe sex, sexual assault, abortion, mental health and more, the show also sees umpteen teen romances, heartbreaks, angst and growing friendships.

Fans were eagerly awaiting the upcoming season, created by Laurie Nunn, since the last season premiered, way back in January 2020, and ended on an ambiguous note. It left fans mourning the star-crossed lovers Maeve and Otis’ missed chances of getting together.

After the first look pictures were dropped a few weeks back, we could not wait to see what the season has in store for us.

The new trailer that was dropped yesterday shows an interesting turn of events. Everything is changing at Moordale with the shy Otis breaking out of his shell to have casual sex, Maeve and Aimee becoming even closer friends, Eric and Adam dating officially and Otis’ mother on the verge of giving birth.

However, there is a new headteacher who tries to restore the allegedly lost glory of Moordale by imposing uniforms and taking the students backwards, according to Maeve, by implanting ideas about how sex is bad for them.

While the students try and suppress their freedom and ingenuity, amidst such claustrophobic surroundings, we cannot wait to see the ruckus that awaits us in the form of commitment issues, more vulva cupcakes and sexual misadventures.

Besides Asa Butterfield, Emma Mackey, Ncuti Gatwa, Connor Swindells, Gillian Anderson, Aimee Lou Wood, Kedar William-Stirling and more, new cast members include Dua Saleh who will debut as the non-binary stoner Cal, Jason Isaacs as Mr Groff’s more successful and cocky elder brother Peter as well as Elsie’s foster mother, Anna, played by Indra Ove.

While we prepare for more Moordale fun, madness and action, check out the trailer below to prepare for a season of chaos and humour!
