
Netflix sets release date for ‘Emily in Paris’ season 5 and shares first-look images
Whatever Emily Cooper does, she does it in fashion. Whether it’s to love, break a heart, get her heart broken, or return with a fifth season. That’s right! Emily in Paris is coming to Netflix sooner than you think with season five, and for a change of scenery, we’re landing straight in Venice.
Netflix recently killed two birds with one stone while dropping a bounty of first-look images from Emily in Paris season five to send fans to the edge of their seats. They finally announced the release date of the hit show, premiering with all ten episodes on December 18th. Just in case you thought Stranger Things was going to be the only Netflix series sending fireworks your way this holiday season, buckle up for Emily Cooper.
She’s definitely not going down without a proper send-off. So, be prepared with your cashmere scarf, Pinterest pointers, and follow Emily in Venice, Italy. The first-look pictures show Lily Collins as Emily in her element, clicking her go-to selfie while sitting at the new office. Sneak peeks from her whirlwind romance with Marcello, portrayed by Eugenio Franceschini, have also surfaced.
Additionally, the pictures confirm the return of Ashley Park as Mindy, William Abadie as Antonie Lambert, Lucas Bravo as Gabriel, Bruno Gougery as Luc, Samuel Arnold as Julien, Phillippine Leroy-Beaulieu as Sylvie Grateau, and Lucien Laviscount as Alfie.
Besides this, Thalia Besson is set to return as Genevieve. However, Camille Razat was not on the list of returning characters. She confirmed her exit from the show in an Instagram post in April this year. Having said that, new actors have joined the cast of Emily in Paris this time around, including Bryan Greenberg and Michèle Laroque, who will play Jake and Yvette, respectively. Variety also confirmed the arrival of Minnie Driver as Princess Jane this season.
As the new head of Agence Grateau in Rome, the American expat has a lot on her plate in Emily in Paris season five, including professional and romantic challenges. As is tradition, whenever Emily feels her life is falling into place, a new roadblock appears out of nowhere. And season five is clearly no exception.
Production on Emily in Paris’s fifth season began in April 2025. Netflix previously announced its production status in Rome. Moreover, Mayor Luca Zaia confirmed that the series will go on to shoot in Venice this August following Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez’s wedding (via Deadline).
