The Netflix series being described as "too fucked up"

As Halloween approaches, Netflix viewers are eager for their fix of creepy true-crime content, and it looks as though the new serial killer thriller, Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, may just be that.

Helmed by Glee collaborators Ian Brennan and Ryan Murphy, the show boasts an impressive supporting cast, including Richard Jenkins, Molly Ringwald and Niecy Nash. Starring Evan Peters as the real-life ‘Milwaukee Cannibal’, a killer who murdered and dismembered 17 men and boys between 1978 and 1991, the new Netflix thriller is available now on the streaming service, with fans over the world already taking to Twitter to voice their terror.

Taking to social media one fan said, “I know the history of Jeffrey Dahmer pretty well but this show on Netflix is still disturbing as hell. Evan Peters is phenomenal”.

Another fan took to Twitter to write, “This Jeffrey Dahmer series on Netflix is so fucked up honestly one of the sickest true crime series I’ve seen, the fact one of his victims actually managed to escape and the police took him back to Dahmers place is crazy”.

Looking like a must-watch for fans of grisly true-crime content, among many other unmissable series, hype for the new show has reached fever-pitch online, shortly after its release. One other user commented, “If you can stomach it, this is an incredible portrayal acted superbly by Evan Peters if the psychotic serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer. Shocking how for so long he got away with it due to corrupt bad policing , homophobia and appalling racism. Well done Netflix”.
