Netflix reveals ‘The Altruists’ cast led by Julia Garner and Anthony Boyle
Netflix is fanning the flames of a new limited series about Sam Bankman-Fried and Caroline Ellison, The Altruists, starring Julia Garner and Anthony Boyle. In addition, Netflix recently unveiled a series of star-studded names helming the upcoming series.
According to Netflix, Hudson Williams and Jennifer Grey have been cast in recurring roles. Meanwhile, Graham Moore and Jacqueline Hoyt are co-showrunners and executive producers for The Altruists on Netflix.
The Altruists, Netflix’s forthcoming eight-episode limited series, tells the story of two genius, young idealists, Sam Bankman-Fried and Caroline Ellison, who reinvented the global financial system in a sweep before getting accused of an $8 billion theft, rendering them Gen Z’s own version of Bonnie and Clyde.

Besides Garner and Boyle, additional series regulars of The Altruists include Alex Lawther as Sam Trabucco, Matt Rife as Ryan Salame, Madison Hu as Constance Wang, Karan Soni as Nishad Singh, Eugene Young as Gary Wang, and Naomi Okada as Claire Watanabe.
Meanwhile, cast members who have joined in recurring roles include Williams as Duncan Rheingans-Yoo, Grey as Sarah Fisher Ellison, Terry Chan as CZ, Elizabeth Adams as Hannah, Hannah Galway as Lucy, William Mapother as Dr Lerner, Paul Reiser as Joe Bankman, Robin Weigert as Barbara Fried, Maddie Hasson as Lauren Platt, and Marianna Phung as Lily Zhang.
Executive producer and director James Ponsoldt will direct the first episode of The Altruists.
