Netflix reveals an unscripted slate of K-programming at Seoul Festival Event
Netflix isn’t shy of world domination. And it shows. The streaming giant most recently unveiled a new and returning slate of unscripted K-programs slated to premiere from September 2025 to February 2026 at the Seoul Festival Event.
Since launching its unscripted slate of Korean projects, Netflix has given domestic reality shows a global stage. The response was completely fanatic, leading shows like Physical:100 and Culinary Class Wars to the top of Netflix’s global non-English shows chart. But the impact was not exactly confined to chart popularity.
Physical:100 sparked a wave of fitness enthusiasm, resulting in international versions in the US and Italy. Meanwhile, Culinary Class Wars allowed global exposure to lesser-known chefs, accompanying a renewed rush in reservations in the restaurant landscape while simultaneously catering to the rekindled interest in traditional fine-dining scenes. Another gripping example is Single’s Inferno, the only Korean unscripted series to run for five seasons.
But moving on to what’s next on Netflix from the Korean soil, a role-playing mystery game series, Crime Scene Zero, is coming up on September 23rd. The show will feature a guest star in each episode. The first of which is Park Sung Woong, followed by Joo Hyun Young. For October, Netflix plans to premiere Physical: Asia. The show has eight country teams representing their nations: Korea, Japan, Thailand, Mongolia, Turkiye, Indonesia, Australia, and the Philippines.
As for November, Netflix is joining forces with Nah Yung-suk’s famous production team in order to bring Three Idiots in Kenya. The show follows Lee Su-gem, Eun Ji-won, and Kyuhyun on their journey across Kenya. The streamer aims to round out the roster for 2025 with the second season of Culinary Class Wars.
Single’s Inferno returns with a fifth season for a fresh start to 2026 in January. Also returning to Netflix is Agents of Mystery with its second season in February. Meanwhile, the streaming powerhouse has already got cameras rolling for the third season of The Devil’s Plan. Additionally, it also renewed Better Late Than Single for season two.
Yoo Jae-seok’s Kian’s Bizarre B&B’s second season and Jae-suk’s B&B rules are in the works to expand the B&B universe. According to Variety, the buzz cannot be overlooked as 55,000 teams have submitted applications to join as a guest, with 3,500 people auditioning for it.
