Oh, Netflix knows exactly what it is doing with My Life with the Walter Boys, because renewing the show for season four before season three even comes out… Yeah, that’s insane confidence right there! Oh, Netflix, you beauty. It’s like it knows that people are raving on and on about the show and just decided to give them what they want.

Because let’s be real for a second… people are deep into this show now. Based on a novel by the same name, My Life with the Walter Boys started as a cute little teen drama about a New York girl moving to Colorado, but it turned into one of Netflix’s messiest relationship situations in the best possible manner. Kind of like its own The Summer I Turned Pretty, but very different at the same time.

It starts with Jackie Howard moving in with the Walter family after a tragic accident changes her life, then suddenly finding herself stuck between Alex Walter (sweet and dependable) and Cole Walter (emotionally unavailable twenty-four hours a day). Babe… that was never going to end peacefully!

And now fans are fully suffering because season two ended with one of the nastiest cliffhangers Netflix could possibly have pulled. After all that tension building between Jackie and Cole, the pair finally admitted they loved each other. Huge moment. Massive drama. Tiny little issue though… Alex heard everything. And not only is he Alex Cole’s brother, but he is also literally Jackie’s boyfriend too.

We know, right? Horrific vibes immediately! Then, before anybody could even process that mess properly, an ambulance pulled up for George Walter, and Netflix ended the season right there.

That’s exactly why the season four renewal matters so much already, because Netflix clearly knows viewers aren’t done with this story anytime soon. And fair enough, because the fandom around this show got absolutely massive after the first two seasons. Team Alex fans fight for their lives daily. Team Cole fans act as though that man were the greenest flag out there. My Life With The Walter Boys has genuinely become one of Netflix’s biggest young adult shows now.

And the timing for another renewal makes perfect sense because season three already had loads riding on it before this announcement even happened. Fans need answers immediately. What happens after Alex overhears Jackie and Cole confessing everything? Can the brothers even recover from that situation? Does Jackie fully choose a side now? Because let’s not pretend that Netflix is going to wrap this love triangle by the end of season three. Somebody’s absolutely getting their heart stomped on here!

Plus, viewers got ridiculously attached to the Walter family itself, too. The ranch, the giant family dinners, the siblings constantly annoying each other… audiences eat that stuff up. Half the reason the show works so well comes from that house being so sweetly chaotic.

Season three is expected to pick up right after the finale, too, so things inside that house are probably about to become awkward. Imagine hearing your girlfriend confess she is in love with your brother… and then still having to eat breakfast together the next morning. Hell no!

And now with season four officially confirmed already, Netflix has just told fans the emotional suffering isn’t ending anytime soon. More relationship drama and more heartbreak are on their way.

Season three is releasing later this year, while season four is planned for 2027. So yeah… Walter Boys fans are basically entering their long-term stress era now.
