Netflix releases trailer for ‘The Umbrella Academy’ season three

Netflix has recently released the official trailer for the upcoming third season of The Umbrella Academy where the dysfunctional Hargreeves family meets their counterparts, the Sparrows.

The third season will pick up right from where the second season ended on a cliffhanger where the Hrgreeves return to their home in the present, convinced to have prevented the apocalypse and fixed the timeline, only to find how they have created an entryway for their villainous alter-egos, the Sparrow Academy to enter for a brutal face-off.

Created by Steve Blackman and based on Gerard Way and Gabriel Ba’s graphic novel, the show will include Elliot Page,  Aidan Gallagher, Justin H. Min, Robert Sheehan, David Castaneda, Tom Hopper, Colm Feore and more among the returning cast members.

The new faces include  Britne Oldford, Jake Epstein, Justin Cornwell, Cazzie David, Genesis Rodriguez etc. The trailer begins with the Sparrows meeting the Hargreeves before the latter realises that they have created a Kugleblitz which means “essentially we’re [the Hargreeves] screwed!”

The Sparrows are apparently “dickheads who can fight.”
With only a few days to prevent an epic disaster from swallowing them in and being replaced by “a bunch of blobs and cubes and birds and shit”.

With “too many siblings” and “not enough timeline”, the trailer promises plenty of fight sequences, high-strung action and unbridled drama and humour.

The Umbrella Academy season three will arrive on Netflix on June 22nd, 2022.
