Netflix release first look at Will and Kate in 'The Crown' season six

The first official photos of Kate Middleton and Prince William have been released from the set of season six of The Crown.

Showing Meg Bellamy as the Princess of Wales and Ed McVey as William, the new photos give fans their first insight into the new series, which will follow the journey of the British royal family through the 20th century and into the new millennium. Specifically, the new season will depict the romance that blossomed between Kate and William during their time at St. Andrew’s and will end with King Charles’ marriage to Camilla Parker Bowles. 

Series five of the celebrated Netflix show focused on the royal family from 1991-1997 and explored the tumultuous relationship between Charles and his former wife, Diana, Princess of Wales. Starring Elizabeth Debicki as Diana, the series also featured Imelda Staunton as Queen Elizabeth II, Lesley Manville as Princess Margaret, Jonathan Pryce as Prince Philip and Dominic West as Prince Charles. 

Many of the cast from last season will be returning for the new series. As well as the aforementioned actors, the likes of Olivia Williams, Khalid Abdalla, Salim Daw and Bertie Carvel will also return.
