Netflix sets release date for ‘My Life with the Walter Boys’ season two
My Life with the Walter Boys turned the preamble of love upside down in the first season. And as expected, the anticipation for its follow-up season is hitting the roof. Although Netflix has a penchant for keeping the audience on their toes, the prayers have finally been answered. The streaming giant has lifted the curtains on the whereabouts of the second season of My Life with the Walter Boys. But the best part? The wait is not at all long.
Nikki Rodriguez, Noah LaLonde, and Ashby Gentry recently unveiled the My Life with the Walter Boys season two release date at the iconic Calgary Stampede. According to Tudum, the second season will premiere this summer on August 28th, a Thursday. The debut season ended with quite a few cliffhangers, with the Walter brothers discovering Jackie’s note while she’s already on a plane to New York to enrol at Juilliard.
My Life with the Walter Boys began with Will, the eldest of the Walter boys’ big fat wedding. But it ended on a sombre note with Jackie rejecting Alex’s advances in silence. What made the situation a bigger hotchpotch was Jackie’s realisation about Cole, and of course, the kiss. While fans already knew a season two was in the works, now that a release date is on the horizon, what can they expect from the next instalment?
Creator Melani Halsall has pledged that “Season two is bigger and better.” Each episode in My Life with the Walter Boys season two has detailed stories. And with actors now having warmed up to their characters, the arcs will be far more intricate. The renewal was itself a moment of joy for the cast and crew. But as the drama dials up in the upcoming instalment, LaLonde teases the possibility of a happy ending.
My Life with the Walter Boys has already completed filming for season two last November. And all that remains is the big wait until August. However, for those uninitiated, the Netflix series also has new players this time around. Joining the show in the second season is Natalie Sharp, a champion rodeo driver who portrays B Hartford and Carson MacCormac, a school senior, who plays Zach.
Netflix has roped in Janet Kidder for My Life with the Walter Boys season two. Kidder portrays Joanne Wagner, Grace’s old-fashioned, conservative mother. Riele Downs plays Maria from Alex’s driving class, and Jake Manley portrays Wylder Holt.
Jason Priestley, who directed two episodes in the first season, is set for a bigger comeback. This time, he also serves as an executive producer and has been tasked with the directorial responsibility of multiple episodes.
