They have finally done it! After 13 years of waiting and theorising, Grand Theft Auto VI fans are getting another substantial look at the game. And where is it premiering? Netflix! The whole thing has gone fully off its head.

Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look drops on August 27th at 3pm ET, exclusively for Netflix subscribers. So if you have spent years checking every Rockstar post, congratulations, the suffering has finally produced something. Stick it in the calendar now. Nobody is getting much done that afternoon.

13 years, by the way. GTA V came out in 2013. Some fans were literal children then and now have lower back pain. How has that happened, then? The wait has gone on so long that GTA VI has started to feel like we are chasing the rainbow.

And then Netflix enters the chat, because apparently, this reveal could not just be normal. Rockstar and Netflix have turned it into a first-of-its-kind partnership, with subscribers getting the extended look first.

The game follows Jason and Lucia after an easy score goes wrong, landing them in the middle of a criminal conspiracy across Leonida. From there, the couple have to rely on each other if they fancy getting out alive. So yes, one dodgy job and the whole thing goes south.

And Vice City is back. Hell yeah! Rockstar returning to that setting on modern gaming wares has been the dream for years, and now it is actually happening.

The full game is set to launch on November 19th for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, which means the Netflix event lands less than three months before release.

Rockstar is obviously maintaining silence about exactly what the extended look will contain, because god forbid fans get a straightforward answer. Whatever appears, every frame will be paused and analysed before the stream has even ended.

So this August 27th, clear the evening. Because after 13 years, playing it cool is no longer an option. Give over.
