Netflix release new trailer for 'Harry & Meghan' documentary

Netflix has dropped the very first trailer for Harry & Meghan, the new documentary that promises unprecedented access behind the scenes of the royal lovers, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

Releasing just a short one-minute trailer for the six-part documentary, the series will feature talking head interviews with the couple as they discuss their life story, from childhood to the publicised troubles of recent times. Looking like a mix of classy auto-biographical storytelling and more gossipy tabloid secrets, the new series will no doubt cause a considerable stir when released online.

“When the stakes are this high, doesn’t it make more sense to hear our story from us?” Meghan Markle says at the end of the short trailer, revealing the reason she wanted to tell her side of the story.

A spokesperson for the new series stated, “In an unprecedented and in-depth documentary series, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex share the other side of their high-profile love story. Across six episodes, the series explores the clandestine days of their early courtship and the challenges that led to them feeling forced to step back from their full-time roles in the institution.”

Continuing, they add, “With commentary from friends and family, most of whom have never spoken publicly before about what they witnessed, and historians who discuss the state of the British Commonwealth today and the royal family’s relationship with the press, the series does more than illuminate one couple’s love story, it paints a picture of our world and how we treat each other.”

Directed by the Oscar-nominated director behind the Netflix documentary What Happened, Miss Simone? and 1998s The Farm: Angola, USA, there is no official date for the release of Harry & Meghan, though rumours suggest that it could be as soon as December 8th.
