Finding Her Edge just got renewed, and it feels like the entire internet just did a triple axel. The drama, the skating, the eye contact… It is all coming back for another season, and the fans are exhilarated. This is the one thing Netflix fans love the most about the OTT: that it lets them know for the maximum time whether they will be getting a new season or not.

Because this was not just some cute YA romance. This was a glittery romance, and we mean that quite literally. The show launched with Adriana Russo, heir to a legendary but crumbling ice dancing empire, being forced to train with Brayden Elliott.

And Brayden Elliott, oh, the intense new partner who understands discipline but has no place for heartbreak. And what’s a lead without a past? Because this time, our leading lady, Adriana, is still being haunted by the ghost of her ex, Freddie O’Connell, who just so happened to be her last partner and her first love. The setup sounds dramatic, right? Well, the show multiplied it by ten and then added slow-mo lifts to it, and it guarantees butterflies (in the stomach, of course).

And now, after hitting the Top 10 in over 80 countries and racking up 12million views, Netflix has finally confirmed what everyone already knew: Finding Her Edge is not done breaking hearts.

This renewal was just announced by Netflix because the fandom went absolutely feral the moment Season 1 dropped. The edits flooded in. People were filming themselves sobbing on the floor over dialogue that technically did not even count as a confession, but still destroyed them emotionally. Suddenly, everyone was quoting skating metaphors like they’d lived in a rink their whole lives. It’s a real-time culture shift that Netflix is widely known for doing.

The creator, Jeff Norton, is already teasing what’s next, and apparently, it is pain. Deeper love triangles are about to happen with a touch of heavier family baggage. And for those who watched for skating, newer routines will be dropped. Netflix and WildBrain are lacing up, and so is every single fan who knows full well they are not making it out of season two emotionally intact. Chills, literal chills.

Also, can we please talk about the book that inspired it? Apparently, it has exploded, too. Bookshops could not keep the new paperback edition, ‘Finding Her Edge’, in stock. Sales went up by 500%, and publishers across 13 new territories are spiralling. The author Jennifer Iacopelli basically woke up one day to find her entire catalogue booked, busy, and very much in translation.

So between the streaming numbers and the book sales, this show has fully taken over. And now it is coming back, which means more longing and more drama.

Fans are already screaming, and it is valid. In fact, the theories have restarted. It’s like The Summer I Turned Pretty all over again in a skating rink. And Netflix? They are watching from the sidelines, smiling like villains who knew exactly what they were doing.
