Netflix is bringing a ‘Stranger ‘Things’ themed WWE Raw this Jan
Just when you thought the Stranger Things finale was the last big thing of the week or the new big thing in the new year, Netflix decided to hit us with a folding chair of a surprise. WWE Raw is doing a full-on Stranger Things–themed episode on January 5th, and it will be streaming live on Netflix. Yup, the Upside Down is heading straight into the ring, and it is going to be, as they call it, ‘bitchin’.
The episode is called Stranger Raw, and please do not confuse it for some cheeky title. They are going all in this time. It is Netflix and WWE’s big crossover moment, celebrating one year of Raw streaming on the platform. It is not going to be your usual Monday night watchers. The vibes are going to be very Hawkins meeting heavyweight.
And while everything is going to look “strange”, the fight card is serious business. We have CM Punk going head-to-head with Bron Breakker. We also have Becky Lynch stepping into the ring with Maxxine Dupri and Rhea Ripley teaming up with Iyo Sky to take on the Kabuki Warriors. And sure, those matches were already hyped enough on their own, but now, with all this Stranger Things madness wrapped around them? You can imagine the viewers going gaga.
Honestly, you just know WWE is going to milk this for everything, and not just WWE, Netflix too, and for a very long time. They, of course, will have themed entrances and surprise cameos and maybe a Demogorgon lurking around the corner. Basically, anything can happen. And considering Stranger Things ends just five days earlier, this feels like the perfect after-party to keep us in the zone.
Also, can we take a second to appreciate the timing? The Stranger Things finale drops on New Year’s Eve. Everyone loses their minds. And then boom, Raw kicks off 2026 by bringing that same weird energy into the ring.
So yeah, if you have even the slightest affection for suplexes and sci-fi, this is not something you want to scroll past. Stranger Raw is streaming January 5th at 5 pm PT / 8 pm ET on Netflix, and we do not care what plans you think you have… Cancel them. It’s time to watch some Stranger Things.
