Netflix finally drops the trailer for the new season of ‘Alice In Borderland’
It is OFFICIAL. Alice in Borderland is back. Netflix has just released the trailer for season three of the show, and it looks like the most intense ride yet.
If you thought the last two seasons had you clenching your fists and yelling at the screen, this one is about to push you over the edge. The new season hits Netflix on September 25th, and from the looks of it, the stakes have never been higher.
This time, it is personal. Usagi is pulled back into the Borderland, and Arisu follows to save her. But instead of sticking together, the two of them get separated. Each is forced to team up with new players, which means there will be new alliances. And that means we’ll see fresh betrayals and atmospheres that feel completely different from what we have seen before. Even Kento Yamazaki, who plays Arisu, said he found it fascinating to explore the different team dynamics.
For Tao Tsuchiya, who plays Usagi, the journey feels heavier than ever. She talked about how every experience from the past two seasons shaped her character and how she even went back to rewatch earlier episodes before stepping into season three. And here is the kicker: unlike seasons one and two, which leaned closely on Haro Aso’s manga, season three is telling an original story. That means even die-hard manga readers won’t know exactly what is coming their way.
Of course, Alice in Borderland wouldn’t be Alice in Borderland without the twisted games, and the trailer teases some of the most brutal ones yet. One standout sequence shows a shrine at night. Flaming arrows light up the shrine as they rain down on players. It is straight from the manga and now brought to life with cutting-edge Japanese VFX. Yamazaki said that it blew his mind when he first read it. Seeing it on screen feels like a dream moment for fans.
Another game revolves around colourful dice. It has a desperation of pushing the players to their breaking points. Tsuchiya hinted that this particular game captures the very soul of the show. Basically, it’s not just about survival but about facing what it really means to live.
The visuals match the intensity big time. The key art features Arisu and Usagi reaching for each other as the Joker card looms with a sinister grin. Beneath them swirls a black hole–like vortex ready to drag them under. Around them stand the other players: some desperate, some dangerous, all ready to fight to the bitter end.
So the question is: will Arisu and Usagi find hope in Borderland, or will despair finally swallow them whole? Season three promises answers but warns fans that there will be heartbreaks… and obviously jaw-dropping action sequences. Netflix has made it clear this is the biggest Alice in Borderland yet, and the trailer proves they aren’t bluffing.
All the fans, mark September 25th on your calendar, because once the new episodes drop, Borderland is where you will be living.
