Netflix executives are disappointed by Prince Harry’s new series

Having left behind the Royal Family some years ago, Prince Harry has subsequently become a media darling, having penned a deal with Netflix for access to his life and ideas.

It would seem, however, that his latest venture POLO is not filling the executives at the streaming platform with much confidence. There are now rumours that the series could be facing a swift axing as it fails to deliver.

The documentary has ruffled feathers at the streaming platform. The show had been prepped to takeover here Drive to Survive left off, providing a thrilling insight into a world filled with cash, corruption and brutal sport. However, the series has not matched expectations.

The documentary series, a five-parter, has left the Duke of Sussex with a red face as producers have been left disappointed by what they have seen so far. Delivered as part of the $100million deal agreed between Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and the streaming platform, the show is not being well-received.

The series is being spoken of as The Nacho Show owing to its focus on Prince Harry’s friend Nacho Figueras. A source told The Daily Mail that it was “nice of Harry to do his mate a favour, but Nacho speaks broken English and is just not mainstream enough to pull in the ratings”

The deal between Prince Harry and Netflix is set to expire in 2025, and judging by the latest series they have produced, the streaming platform will be happy to see the back of them.

The Duke and Duchess have failed to produce a big hit for the platform yet, and it looks like POLO won’t be the one to provide it.
