And the actual plot? Oh, it’s very, very delicious. The story follows the daughter of a private school headmaster whose entire life gets thrown into a mess after she falls for a rebellious outsider. So yes, we are entering forbidden romance territory. Rich girl meets bad decision. Netflix clearly wants tension and secrets with elite-school drama.

And can we discuss how personal this feels for Kim Kardashian? Because nobody on Earth has marketed Calabasas harder than the Kardashians. For years, they turned that city into a luxury lifestyle fantasy. Like, before the Kardashians, most people probably couldn’t even point to Calabasas on a map. Now, the second you hear the word, you picture beige mansions, G-Wagons, iced coffee, and beauty brands.

So Kim producing a drama about rich Calabasas teens feels less like a random project and more like she is opening the family archives. Also, after Kim popped up in American Horror Story with Emma Roberts, you could kind of tell she caught the acting bug. And honestly? She has been moving very strategically lately.
