Netflix agrees deal with rapper Megan Thee Stallion

Megan Thee Stallion has come to an agreement with Netflix over a first-look deal to create content for the streamer.

The specifics of the deal are currently undisclosed, but the rapper plans on creating projects for the platform and also taking up the mantle of executive producer.

In a statement, Megan said, “I’ve always had a passion for telling creative and entertaining stories, so I’m thrilled about this partnership with Netflix. Venturing into production is the next step in my journey as an entrepreneur and I can’t wait to bring all my ideas to life and for my Hotties to watch.”

Meanwhile, Netflix’s head of comedy, Tracey Pakosta, added, “Megan is a multi-talented creative force who has consistently made her mark on culture. She’s always growing and evolving as an artist, and we’re thrilled that she’s making a home at Netflix for this next chapter in her journey.”

Earlier this month, the rapper cancelled her planned homecoming in Houston following the Astroworld tragedy in November, where ten people died.

In a statement, she said, “Houston is still healing and it’s important that our community be given the appropriate time to grieve. My heart goes out to all the families that are suffering during this difficult time.”
