Neil Patrick Harris to star in Netflix series 'Uncoupled'

Five-time Emmy and a Tony recipient, Neil Patrick Harris, is returning to Netflix to star in Darren Star’s new comedy series Uncoupled.

Following his success with Netflix rom-com series Emily in Paris, Star is set to direct another Netflix milestone with his upcoming series. He has managed to sign up Harris as the lead character, Michael. Michael is supposed to have a perfect life until one day, his husband of 17 years walks out of his life without giving him closure that leaves him shattered and bamboozled.

Overnight, he loses his soulmate and finds himself to be an unfortunate and lonely single gay man in NYC and finally understands what nightmares are made of.

Harris, 48, is best known for his reprising role as Barney Stinson on CBS’ fan favourite show How I Met Your Mother. He shall be returning to Netflix after playing the dubious yet brilliant Count Olaf in A Series of Unfortunate Events.

He teased the same news on his Twitter on August 5, 2021, but Deadline was the first to report the news. Harris shall soon be seen in The Matrix 4 as well as The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent.

Jeffrey Richman from Modern Family shall join star. The show is supposed to have eight episodes. Stay tuned in for more information regarding production, filming and release.
