Nancy Wheeler is on to a new mystery in ‘Stranger Things: One Way or Another’
The Hawkins Post reporter, Nancy Wheeler, is on to something. And joining forces with her is the ultimate strategist, Robin Buckley, from Netflix’s Stranger Things.
The Stranger Things universe is urging your attention. Nancy and Robin are teaming up to solve the uncanny in TV writer and novelist Caitlin Schneiderhan’s upcoming novel, Stranger Things: One Way or Another. Published by Random House Worlds, the book is set to hit shelves on December 2nd.
Netflix has already released the official cover. Fans can preorder Stranger Things: One Way or Another at Penguin Random House. The novel picks up after the events of season four of the hit Netflix series, when Nancy and Robin are thrown into the den of another gripping mystery.
According to the official synopsis from Tudum, Hawkins, Indiana, is recuperating two months after Vecna’s trail of destruction. With the inhabitants still reeling from the loss and devastation, Nancy hasn’t had a minute’s rest in her hunt for Vecna. But with him constantly giving her the slip, she’s put in a tough spot, torn between her desires to head towards Emerson for college and her determination to seal the Upside Down before it unleashes mayhem once again.
As her classmate, Joey Taft, begins to show evasive behaviour during graduation, something tells Nancy that Vecna has found his next target. Assisted by Robin, Nancy doesn’t waste any time confronting Joey. “What the girls discover leads them down the path of a bigger story than The Hawkins Post could ever have assigned Nancy.”
With people from Hawkins getting sick out of the blue and a mysterious man stalking Nancy throughout her investigation, Robin and she must find the links between this unexplained phenomenon and the Upside Down. But “the deeper the two dig, the further Nancy finds herself drawn into a web of intrigue that threatens to trap her in Hawkins… forever.”
Schneiderhan is from Silver Spring, Maryland, and currently resides in LA. When she was 13, she made Terry Pratchett novels her Bible. She is inclined towards “genre-focused storytelling.” So, if you want a piece of Hawkins’ mystery, make sure you get hold of the book. As for Stranger Things, the fifth and final season will be released on November 26th with four episodes, followed by three more on Christmas Eve, and the finale on New Year’s Eve.
