‘Lupin’ is returning to Netflix in fall 2026

Are you excited to see Assane Diop get back in action with Lupin on Netflix? Well, good news for you!

The fourth part of the fan-favourite mystery thriller is officially making its way to Netflix in the fall of 2026.

Production has been ongoing for Lupin’s comeback since May 2025, in which Omar Sy reprises his iconic role as the gentleman thief, Assane Diop. “I often say that Lupin is an extraordinary plaything. I find great joy in it every time,” Sy told Netflix, speaking of the upcoming development.

In the last part of the Netflix series, Assane robbed the Black Pearl, garnered support from the French public, faked his own demise, and saved his mother’s life, despite their estrangement. It also dawned upon him that the only way he can ensure his wife, son, mother, and best friend’s safety and security is by putting an end to the cat-and-mouse chase. So, ultimately, he decides to turn himself in to law enforcement.

The third part of Lupin pulls down the curtains with Diop in prison. While we cannot help but expect that his life behind bars won’t last long, for now, he has an entire set of Arsene Lupin books to keep him company.

While Netflix didn’t unveil the exact release date for part four, at least now, fans know when to expect its return. Plus, considering Lupin has solidified its place as one of the most popular non-English productions in the streamer’s history, this is most definitely welcome news and a first step.

In case you didn’t know, Lupin’s first three parts occupy the third, sixth, and tenth positions, respectively, in the rankings, which is proof enough of its formidable fan following. The series is primarily inspired by Arsene Lupin, but it takes its own shape with meticulous curveballs and captivating characters planted throughout the journey.

Gaumont produces Lupin alongside Carrousel Studios. George Kay co-created the series with François Uzan, in collaboration with Marie Roussin, Florent Meyer, and Tigran Rosine. In addition to them, Sy and Louis Leterrier serve as showrunners for the hit Netflix series.

Since Netflix has remained tight-lipped about what viewers can expect from Lupin’s part four, with the plot details shrouded in complete mystery, stay tuned for more updates in the future. Till then, you can always opt for a recap as the first, second, and third parts are currently streaming on Netflix.
