‘KPop Demon Hunters’ sequel is finally happening and here’s everything to know
So remember when KPop Demon Hunters came out last year and everyone thought it was just going to be a fun animated Netflix movie? Yeah… that didn’t last long. The film ended up pulling more than 500 million views worldwide on Netflix, making it the most popular movie ever released on the platform.
You might think that it reached the peak of success, and just after that the soundtrack started showing up on real-world charts, and the song “Golden”reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 before going on to win a Grammy Award. One can only imagine!
Then awards season arrived, and the movie showed up there too. KPop Demon Hunters received two Academy Award nominations, including Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song for “Golden”. For a film that started as a new animated title on Netflix, that kind of run is pretty incredible.
