‘KPop Demon Hunters’ makes all-time record on Netflix
Spending seven weeks on Netflix’s top ten charts is not a walk in the park. But KPop Demon Hunters somehow made it look like so, completing its seventh consecutive presence in the week dated July 28th to August 3rd, 2025.
And in the process, KPop Demon Hunters just became one of the most popular titles on Netflix ever. Since its release on June 20, the animated fantasy film has amassed a total of 158.8million views. Currently, it’s the fourth most popular English-language film on the streamer, outranked by Red Notice with 230.9m views, Carry-On with 172.1m views, and Don’t Look Up with 171.4m views.
The movie has been watched more than The Adam Project, Bird Box, Back in Action, Leave the World, The Grey Man, Damsel, and We Can Be Heroes. In fact, the Netflix movie has ensured that We Can Be Heroes is dropped off the list.
Netflix tracks the all-time charts by tallying total views within a title’s first 91 days. Consequently, this leaves KPop Demon Hunters a seven-week window to keep the momentum going and climb the ranks. Plus, considering it has barely nudged from the top three mark, it’s most likely to continue trailblazing in the weeks to come.
Happy Gilmore 2 turned out to be the only title to topple KPop Demon Hunters in the last week. Having garnered a staggering 46.7million views in the opening week, the Netflix sequel earned another 40.8million views for its first full week on Netflix.
But returning to KPop Demon Hunters, it has been making waves since its debut week on Netflix. It already broke a Rotten Tomatoes, Billboard, and Spotify record and had K-pop stars shedding tears over its emotional climax, with some even encouraging their fans to tune into Maggie Kang’s work of art.
Clearly, the influence has paid off in gold as KPop Demon Hunters makes Netflix history with each passing week. So, in case you’re still out of the loop, KPop Demon Hunters is currently streaming on Netflix.
