Jenna Ortega dials up the goth at ‘Wednesday’ season two world premiere
When Netflix promised to crank up the macabre in Wednesday season two, they really meant it. And to celebrate the arrival of its first part, Jenna Ortega and co. went all out at the world premiere in London. The 22-year-old recently hit the purple carpet with her co-stars on Wednesday evening, July 30th, 2025, at Central Hall Westminster in the UK.
While everyone strutted the carpet in gothic hues, Wednesday Addams pulled a snatch, swapping the blacks for whites this time. She walked the purple carpet in an Ashi Studio FW25 semi-sheer snakeskin couture gown with burnt edges and a fishtail skirt. Although she pulled a sartorial rabbit from her hat, she kept her gothic makeup intact to counterbalance the lighter shade, styled by Enrique Melendez.
To top off her sartorial departure, Ortega showed up in a unique pulled-back ponytail. Meanwhile, the Addams family matriarch, Zeta-Jones, sported a dramatic backless gown with around-the-neck detailing and ruffled edges. She had her hair done in a bun, while newcomer Billie Piper went punk-rock with her purple carpet arrival.
Piper will play Isadora Capri in the upcoming Wednesday instalment. For her premiere outing, she wore a black front-laced gown, equal parts sultry and equal parts steamy. Jonna Lumley, who stars as Grandmama Frump, arrived at the event wearing a black dress with an embellished cape attached. They were joined by season one regulars, Joy Sunday and Emma Myers, who walked the carpet in blood red.
Showrunners Alfred Gough, Miles Millar, and Tim Burton were also in attendance alongside Fred Armisen, who reprises his role as Uncle Fester. From Georgie Farmer to Isaac Ordonez, London opened the floodgates for every Wednesday A-lister.
Even Steve Buscemi, Bela Bajaria, Luiz Guzman, Joonas Suotamo, Evie Templeton, Noah Taylor, Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nywao, and Moosa Mostafa attended the Wednesday world premiere. By the looks of it, the Netflix squad is more than ready to return with Wednesday to Nevermore Academy.
But if you aren’t, this is your one last chance. The first season of Wednesday is currently streaming on Netflix. And the first part of the second season will be released next Wednesday, August 6th. So, make the most of these woeful reminders before it gets hard to keep up with.
