Is ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ Netflix’s longest-running top ten title?
A lot can be said about the streaming trends with a glance at Netflix’s top ten charts. And by the looks of it, viewers are definitely not over KPop Demon Hunters.
In the week dated September 29th to October 5th, Maggie Kang’s chart-topping Netflix film has again ruled the summit. But by now, the statistics are honestly no surprise, which makes one all the more curious about whether KPop Demon Hunters has officially become the longest-running top ten title.
The film has amassed 325.1million views since its release on June 20th, 2025. This time around, it just completed its 16-week stay on the most popular movies chart. While it had long left the all-time competitors in the dust by claiming the top-most position, it turns out KPop Demon Hunters also recently became the longest-running top ten title on the platform.
From the moment the K-pop troupe of demon slayers touched down on Netflix, it has been breaking records left and right. And during its 15th week on the top ten most popular movies chart, the animated film officially achieved the milestone as the longest-running original English film to mark its presence after earning 19.3million views. Groundbreaking to say the least.
Although the viewership has dropped this week in comparison to last, with 18.1million views earned, the title that’s clutching silver at the second position, Ruth & Boaz, is still a far cry from it, with 14.1million views amassed during its second week. Additionally, KPop Demon Hunters remains the number one movie in 18 staggering countries presently, despite spending extensive weeks on the Netflix charts.
This is proof enough that the frenzy is far from over, and the craze is steadily growing. And considering Netflix doesn’t exactly slow down with its slate of releases, to come out as the leader week after week is definitely no easy feat.
While it was long declared the most popular Netflix film of all time, every new week, it comes with a new badge of honour, making many wonder what awaits next. But believe it or not, the streaming powerhouse has definitely struck gold with this partnership with Sony, which has found a permanent place in people’s watchlists. But if you’re still out of the loop, KPop Demon Hunters is currently streaming on Netflix and missing it would be completely your loss.
