Here’s how to apply to Netflix’s largest reality casting call

Have you ever wanted to be on reality TV and snag the big bucks as well as garner as much fame as possible?

It seems like your dreams might become a reality since Netflix has launched “the largest reality casting call ever”, inviting us commoners to try our luck at joining revered shows such as Nailed It!, Queer Eye, The Circle and more to help us be a part of the Netflix hall of fame, irrespective of how brief that appearance might be. 

The casting call was announced on a blog post on August 9, 2021,  by Brandon Riegg, VP of Netflix’s unscripted and documentary series. 

To find an “innovative new way for [our] reality fans to join in on the fun]”, the VP wrote how reality shows have always been a “powerful genre” as “it has the ability to make you invested in who is going to win the big competition or find true love (or at least a good showmance). It also has the ability to bring people together from all walks of life.”

He added that since the motto of “reality in reality TV” would want to reflect and represent the lives of real people and thus announced a huge casting call. 

Besides the aforementioned shows, participants will also be starring in Indian Matchmaking, The American Barbecue Showdown and a brand new series Roaring Twenties. 

Riegg added, “Whether you love competition or cooking, dating or decor, style or a social experiment, we might have a show for you — either now or someday soon.”

How to apply:

If you are completely hooked and convinced that you are bold enough to be a part of reality TV, here’s how you can apply:

• You must be at least 18 years old to apply. 
• The applicant must be based in the United States, United Kingdom or Canada. 
• To appear on a Netflix reality show, click on this webpage netflixreality.com and select “Submit Your Video” which appears at the top right of the screen.
• Next, choose the reality shows that appeal to you. We are providing the full list below. 
• Fill in your personal details. 
• Upload the 60-second video that must be shot in portrait mode and will probably help you be a part of your favourite show. 
• In the clip, do not forget to add your name, age and location. 

Netflix has a piece of helpful advice for your video: 

“No need for ring lights or glam, just be the real you!”
