‘Heartstopper’ season 2 release date confirmed

A new season of Heartstopper is coming to Netflix in August. The coming-of-age romance, which stars Kit Connor and Joe Locke as Nick and Charlie, is set to return for a second chapter on August 3rd. Netflix recently shared the date announcement with fans following a featurette where various cast members were asked their thoughts on the new episodes.

Connor, for example, spoke of “amazing” storylines for the show’s lead characters. Apparently, creator Alice Oseman has “got some amazing scripts for us. It also feels cool and fresh. It is a different vibe to season one,” the actor said.

Yasmin Finney, who plays Elle Argent, echoed Conner’s excitement, telling viewers to brace themselves.
“There’s just so many things that happen this season that you’re not ready for,” she said. The Doctor Who star went on to say that her character will be “more confident” in new episodes, primarily because she “surrounds herself with people who elevate her.”

As previously announced, Nick and Charlie are set to spend some time in Paris in this new season. Locke and Connor, dressed as their characters, were photographed sitting at a cafe table back in October. In February, Oseman also confirmed that Issac’s asexuality “will be discussed” in this second season “in a big way. I’m excited. I hope it’ll change the world,” Oseman added.
