Harlan Coben’s ‘I Will Find You’ is set to arrive this June
If you love the Harlan Coben brand of mystery thrillers, there’s exciting news for you: I Will Find You now has an official release date on Netflix.
Showrunner and co-creator Robert Hull is bringing the highly anticipated eight-episode thriller on June 18th, and if you’re still in the dark about what’s awaiting on the other end, you need to brace yourselves.
Based on Coben’s 2023 novel of the same name, I Will Find You stars Sam Worthington as David Burroughs, wrongly convicted for the murder of his son. But upon discovering that his son might just be alive, the desperate father embarks on a mission to find the truth, breaking out of the prison against all odds.
In addition to co-creating the series, Coben will executive produce I Will Find You on behalf of his production company, Final Twist Productions, alongside Hull, Bryan Wynbrandt, Steven Lilien, and John Weber.
Netflix has already roped in a stellar cast with Worthington portraying David, who’s been serving a life sentence for a crime he didn’t commit. Besides him, Britt Lower portrays Rachel Mills, David’s ex-sister-in-law, whose life turns upside down after getting fired from her job, while Milo Ventimiglia plays Hayden, Rachel’s ex-boyfriend, still a close friend and confidant.
Logan Browning appears as Sarah Greer, an FBI Fugitive Task Force member in Boston; Erin Richards stars as Cheryl Dreason, David’s former wife, who is also a pediatric surgeon; Jonathan Tucker is cast as police sergeant Adam Mackenzie. Lastly, Chi McBride, Madeleine Stowe, and Clancy Brown round out the ensemble as Max Williams, Gertrude Payne, and Nicky Fisher, respectively.
According to Netflix, I Will Find You marks the first series in Coben’s collaboration with Netflix to take place in the US. Most of the previous projects were set across Europe, including the UK, France, and Spain.
The streaming giant recently released a teaser, offering viewers an early sneak peek into what’s to come. While the anticipation was building by the minute since the adaptation was originally announced, now that I Will Find You is confirmed to arrive this summer, thrill seekers can finally take a sigh of relief.
Although there are still a few weeks until the release, in the meantime, fans can check out Coben’s previously released projects in partnership with Netflix, including Missing You, Run Away, The Stranger, Safe, Gone for Good, Hold Tight, Fool Me Once, The Innocent, and Stay Close. Happy streaming!
