Four Netflix shows to watch if you loved ‘Inside the Circle’

Netflix’s Inside the Circle has a straightforward message at its heart: be aware of everyone, but especially the ones you call friends.

The gritty Mexican crime thriller follows four lifelong friends, Tomas, Amelia, Jaime, and Mario, whose lives turn upside down in the aftermath of the controversial death of popular actor Pamela Dosantos, when one of them accidentally shares a video linking a powerful military general to the celebrity, attracting dangerous foes.

Laced with political corruption, a larger-than-life conspiracy, hidden motives, and buried secrets, the Netflix series certainly leaves viewers craving more.

So, to fulfil that appetite, here’s a watchlist of four Netflix shows that are the perfect follow-ups to Inside the Circle.

Four Netflix shows to stream after Inside the Circle

Secrets We Keep (Per Fly, 2025)

If you liked Inside the Circle’s tight-knit friends whose secrets begin to fracture their trust, forcing each to embark on a mission to expose deceit within their inner circle, Secrets We Keep will fit squarely on this watchlist. The Danish Nordic noir miniseries centres on Ruby, an au pair working for an immensely wealthy couple, Katarina and Rasmus, who mysteriously vanishes a day after trying to speak with their neighbour, Cecille, about her employers.

Guilt-stricken about brushing her off earlier, Cecille, with her own au pair Angel, a friend of Ruby, embarks on a mission to investigate her disappearance. While a dedicated officer is already on the case, the pressure to drop it is intense. Secrets We Keep follows the simultaneous investigations into the missing-persons case, exposing the dark sides of systemic privilege, friendships, and trust.

The Perfect Lie (Dana Nechushtan and Margien Rogaar, 2026)

Inside the Circle highlights the shady aspects of tight-knit friendships where secrets are one too many, making The Perfect Lie another perfect post-viewing title in this Netflix queue. The Dutch adaptation of The Dinner Club follows Karen, who moves to a prosperous town in Bergen with her family. Although she initially feels like a fish out of water, she soon joins an exclusive club of elite friends who seem to have it all – beautiful villas, successful careers, and expensive taste.

But the illusion of the group’s perfect life breaks into shambles when a fatal villa fire kills one of their own, Evert, while his wife and children barely survive. As Karen digs deeper into her new friends, she realises their close-knit bond isn’t powered by loyalty; it’s held together by heavy deception, financial fraud, drug trafficking, buried secrets, and illicit affairs.

The Accident (Gracia Querejeta, Klych López, and Carlos Villegas, 2024)

Lies, corruption, cover-ups, and vengeance make up the DNA of Inside the Circle. So, if you want your next title to mirror that, watch The Accident on Netflix. The Mexican crime thriller opens at a posh birthday party for Rodrigo, the son of lawyer Emiliano and police officer Daniela. Although the occasion is supposed to be happy, tragedy strikes when a sudden gust of wind lifts an unsecured bouncy castle with kids inside.

Three children are killed in the incident, including Rodri and the sons of local figures, quickly shattering a close-knit community. As the investigation unfolds, it becomes clear that someone close to home failed to secure the inflatable. But instead of taking accountability, what follows is a chain of deception, causing someone innocent to take the fall and escalating the drive for vengeance among the grieving families.

How to Get to Heaven from Belfast (Michael Lennox, George Kane, and Rachna Suri, 2026)

Just because you think you’ve known your friends the longest doesn’t mean you know them inside out. At least, that’s what Inside the Circle taught, and so did How to Get to Heaven from Belfast. Lisa McGee’s dark comedy crime-thriller follows three childhood friends, Saoirse, Robyn, and Dara, now in their 30s, who reunite after receiving news that their fourth estranged childhood friend, Greta, has died.

While they travel all the way to Greta’s wake in County Donegal, they soon discover that the person in the coffin is not their friend, tipped off by a missing tattoo they all share. Realising there’s more to the story and fearing Greta might be in trouble, the chaotic trio embark on a mission to track down their missing friend, previously presumed dead. But what they find along the way is a trail of dark secrets and cover-ups tied to a past they wish to have forgotten.
