Four Netflix games to keep an eye out for

Netflix just made gaming ridiculously easy. You can now play games straight on your TV, and all you need is your phone. No controllers, no extra gadgets, no setup stress. Just tap a button and you are in. It feels like someone understood the assignment.

We are sure most of you have already tried your hand at games that are available on the platform, and those who haven’t, respectfully, you are missing out. The good news is that Netflix is dropping a bunch of new titles this season, and the line-up covers every type of mood. Some games are perfect for group nights, some are great when you just want to zone out alone, and a few are designed for people who love solving things for fun. The whole point is convenience, so you can switch from watching a show to playing a game without leaving the app.

Another highlight is that Netflix is leaning into their own universe. So, the games aren’t random; they pull in familiar characters, familiar worlds and that little bit of Netflix personality you already know. It’s smart because it gives you something fun even when you are not in the mood for a full episode.

So here are the four Netflix games worth keeping an eye on. Not the whole collection, just the ones that actually look fun and feel easy to pick up without reading a rulebook.

Four Netflix games to keep an eye out for

Dead Man’s Party: A Knives Out Game

Okay, picture this: you are hanging out with your friends, someone suggests a game, and instead of pulling out another card deck from 2012, Netflix basically hands you a Knives Out mystery where you are the suspects. Yes, Benoit Blanc, our own dramatic detective with the most extra accent on planet Earth, shows up in your living room to figure out who among your friends is the killer. And everyone plays. No one gets to sit out and scroll.

The fun part here is how messy-but-fun the group energy gets. You are lying, you are defending yourself, and you are also trying to act innocent when you most definitely are not. If you are the killer, your whole mission is to quietly mislead your friends without Blanc catching on. It’s basically a friend-group trust exercise, except nobody trusts anybody, and everyone laughs through the betrayal. A typical Friday night coded game.

Netflix Puzzled

Netflix Puzzled is for your light thinking mood. It’s a daily puzzle hub that pulls in the Netflix universe, so yes, you get sudoku, crosswords and word searches, but they are themed around things like Stranger Things, Squid Game, KPop Demon Hunters, and Emily in Paris. It feels like a cute mix of comfort puzzles and fan service.

The app has eight different puzzle types every day, so you are never stuck with the same thing. And for the first time, you can actually play on Tudum too, which is cool because it means you are not tied to your phone. It’s the kind of game you open during your commute, between classes, or when you are pretending to be productive but mentally checked out. A low-pressure, high serotonin kind of game.

Red Dead Redemption – (PRE-REGISTER NOW)

This one is huge because Red Dead Redemption is finally coming to mobile. If you have ever had a cowboy era (don’t lie, everyone has), this game is basically your return ticket. You play as John Marston, a man dragged back into a violent past because the government is holding his family hostage. So yes, drama, gunfights and emotional trauma are included.

The mobile version also comes with Undead Nightmare, which means zombies. Westerns and zombies equal nobody getting bored. The map is big here, and the missions feel satisfying. The best part is that you can roam around doing whatever you want if you need a break from saving your family. Pre-registration is open, so you can be that person who gets it the second it drops.

Best Guess Live (US ONLY)

This is for the competitive friend in your group, or, let’s be honest, for you, because we all have a competitive streak. Best Guess Live is a real-time mobile game show where you play against actual people for real money. And yes, Netflix is hosting it like a legit show with Hunter March and Howie Mandel.

You get one mystery item, five clues and one chance to answer. If you get it wrong, you’re out until the next puzzle. If you get it right on an early clue, your share of the winnings goes up. It’s fast, it’s addictive, and you’ll play it every weekday because the rounds are short but fun.
