Five things we want to see in ‘Wednesday’ Season Two

Wednesday grew quickly to be one of the most viewed English series on Netflix within its first few weeks. From Jenna Ortega’s incredible performance to the revival of one of her favorite stories within the last few decades. The new Addams family is here to serve and for good thanks to Netflix. However, after a fantastic first season, the show’s viewers keep theories about what they want to see in the next season. Here are five things we want to see in season two.

Tim Burton’s co-directed and produced hit new series which debuted in the month of November 2022, has been officially renewed. After Netflix confirmed a reboot of the newest fan-favorite series, several fan discussions have taken the internet by storm. Predicting and navigating the possible narrative outcomes.

The new season is anticipated to present an almost two-year time jump in the story. This allows a lot of the present characters to evolve in their element and for viewers to get more context on everyone’s backgrounds. Especially the ones that remain unexplored.

Based on the show’s shooting schedule, Wednesday season two is set to premiere on Netflix in the middle of 2024. The second season is expected to run for an equal eight episodes, each an hour long. However, for every anxious fan waiting to know more about what to expect, you have come to the right place. Here are five things that viewers are definitely expecting from Wednesday season 2. Without any more delay let us get to it.

Five things we want to see in ‘Wednesday’ Season 2

5. Is Weems really gone?

Fans across all platforms were heartbroken with the way Professor Weems’ presence in the show was threatened in the first season. However, with her character being a shapeshifter, the writers have ample substance to work around. The question stands, Is Weems really gone? That is sincerely something everyone waiting for Wednesday season 2 is expecting to learn.

4. Who to expect?

Tyler Galpin, the evil werewolf, was not shown to be dead. Actor Hunter Doohan has officially spilled the tea about how his rather complicated character will definitely be there in the upcoming season.

Alongside, others who are rejoining the series include Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Isaac Ordonez, Gwendoline Christie, Percy Hynes White, Fred Armisen, and Christina Ricci. And of course, fan’s dearest, Jenna Ortega will also be returning to the show.

3. Will Wednesday end up with anyone?

As of the end of the first season, Wednesday Addams remained single. She didn’t end up with anyone. The season finale worked magic as more of an homage to her and her best friend, Enid. Enid, who has been portrayed by Emma Myers, is also likely to return to the cast of Wednesday for a second season.

Although the fans are really interested to find out how a Wednesday Addams would spark romance, it would be more appropriate for her to take her time to be single. But rest assured the best friends will see their friendship evolve.

Alongside, Jenna Ortega also adds, “We just started the writers room. I think we want to up the horror aspect a little bit and then get Wednesday out of the romantic situation, let her be her own individual and fight her own crimes.”

2. What happens to Hyde?

The real villain for the first season, as it turns out, is ironically the Wednesday Addams of The Addam’s Family played by Christina Ricci. Marilyn Thornhill was a kind normie professor until she was revealed to be the real villain of the series controlling Hyde. At the end of the season, Hyde gets caught.

However, it looks very promising that he could be escaping eventually. At the same time, Wednesday gets quite interesting and creepy messages when she is seen to be leaving the school. She soon realizes that there is more to the story than what meets the eye. Yet another mystery has to be given for the future of the series.

1. Who is Xavier really?

Fans have been making endless theories regarding the mysterious character of Xavier. Who is he? Where has he come from? Xavier Thorpe was the second love interest for Wednesday Addams in its debuting season. All that viewers know about him so far is that he is a psychic artist who is mysteriously drawn to Wednesday.

However, when Wednesday started suspecting him of being the murderous monster, they distanced themselves. Contrary to the disappointment and lack of context to his character in season one, there is definitely a lot of potential. Especially when it comes to exploring Wednesday and his relationship in the coming season alongside his context in the narrative.

In spite of the anticipated theories, there is no way to be certain of what season two of Wednesday has in store for its fans. Here’s hoping that the second season can manage to answer more questions left unresolved by the end of the first season. Until then, stay tuned and catch Wednesday running on Netflix now.
