Five rom-coms to watch on Netflix if you love People We Meet on Vacation

A Tourist’s Guide to Love (Steven K Tsuchida, 2023)

If there’s something central to People We Meet on Vacation that appeals to viewers and excites them the most, it’s Alex and Poppy’s travel destinations. Hence, if you want to experience love with a backdrop of breathtaking views, watch A Tourist’s Guide to Love on Netflix. The romantic comedy centres on travel industry executive Amanda Riley, who’s tasked with a covert mission to assess Vietnam’s tourism sector.

The opportunity falls into Amanda’s lap in the aftermath of her breakup from a five-year relationship, and needless to say, she takes it to cool off her mind. While in Vietnam, she unexpectedly finds that one thing knocking at her door that she never thought would be possible, and yes, it is love. But with love, are things ever that easy? Expect heartbreaks, tense confrontations, travels, and love triangles. As for the rest? A Tourist’s Guide to Love is currently streaming on Netflix.

Champagne Problems (Mark Steven Johnson, 2025)

The next stop on our binge vacation of rom-coms is set in the City of Love, Paris. So, grab that passport and fall in love with Champagne Problems. The holiday rom-com follows budding executive Sydney Price, who’s waiting on the biggest milestone of her career with the impending acquisition of Chateau Cassell, one of France’s legacy champagne houses.

When she finds herself in Paris due to business, on the first night, she decides to take a breather from work and enjoy the night on the town. But as fate would have it, she finds herself running into a charming young man, Henri, whom she ends up spending the night with. By the time it’s the next morning, all Sydney has on her mind is business. Although she takes off quickly to finalise the deal, what she’s shocked to discover is that love truly has a way of finding you at the most unexpected of places.

La Dolce Villa (Mark Waters, 2025)

When you’re done with Paris, the next destination is Italy with La Dolce Villa and you need to be here for it. The Netflix romantic comedy tells the story of an American widower, Eric Field, who travels back to Italy to prevent his daughter from wasting her inheritance on rebuilding a dilapidating villa she bought as part of Italy’s initiative to revitalise old properties.

But instead finds himself caught up in the beauty of Italy and the community, where he encounters Francesca, the single mayor of the Tuscan town. La Dolce Villa may not capture a tale of young love, but it showcases the resilience of it as Eric and Francesca navigate life and love later in life. It focuses on Eric’s transition as he reconciles with his daughter and rediscovers himself, finding new purpose to fall in love with life and Italy all the same.

Falling Inn Love (Roger Kumble, 2019)

Love makes you do crazy things, as do breakups. And Falling Inn Love on Netflix revolves around this impulsive decision that Gabriela, a San Francisco executive, takes after losing both her boyfriend and her job by entering a contest to win a New Zealand inn. As it turns out, Gabriela does win an inn, The Bellbird Valley Farm, a decaying property with a goat named Gilbert and a meddling neighbour.

Determined to fix it, she recruits Jake Taylor, a charming contractor. Despite making up her mind to sell the property once the renovation is over, Gabriela gets drawn into its small-town charm and an unexpected romance amid cultural clashes as she comes to terms with the slow-paced, community-focused life in New Zealand, finally finding the joys of living the country life.

The Wrong Paris (Janeen Damian, 2025)

As for the last stop? We return to Paris, but it’s not the one you think. The Wrong Paris is yet another rom-com Netflix offered us in 2025, which is a must-watch if you love People We Meet on Vacation. The movie centres on Dawn, an aspiring art student, who, determined to fund money to study at an art school in Paris, France, enrols herself on a reality dating show.

Much to her dismay, she eventually, however, finds out that the show called The Honeypot is actually filming in Paris, Texas, not France. No longer interested in continuing the show but still in need of the money, Dawn soon begins to feel stuck. While she does gradually try to get herself eliminated or disqualified, it turns out there’s something or someone actually holding her back, and it’s the charming bachelor, Trey.
