As is tradition with Netflix, the first week of a new month calls for all things fresh. So, while we spread out the feast of what’s new on Netflix, take note of everything that makes you salivate.
From highly anticipated true crime documentaries to long-awaited literary adaptations, the Netflix lineup this week is probably everything viewers could dream of.

Five Netflix releases to watch out for this week
Vladimir (Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini, 2026)
Conceived as a limited series adaptation of Julia May Jones’s best-selling novel, Vladimir is an upcoming eight-episode twist comedy series, which follows a middle-aged protagonist without a name, starred by Rachel Weisz. The woman is a writer, professor, wife, and mother, but when her personal life seemingly comes crumbling down, she gets swept off by a new charming colleague, the eponymous Vladimir.
Although she has worked at the small liberal arts college for decades, this is probably the first time she has felt like this. So, when Vladimir arrives on Netflix on March 5th, expect sultry secrets to surface alongside dark humour and complex characters as the adaptation tells the story of what happens when a woman gets desperate to turn her fantasies into reality.
Boyfriend on Demand (Kim Jung-sik, 2026)
Next up is a rom-com series coming from the South Korean slate of Netflix original production, Boyfriend on Demand, due for March 6th. The series revolves around worn-out webtoon producer Seo Mi-rae, who turns to a subscription app to date customisable virtual partners, hoping to escape her stressful life and make room for a digital fantasy, only to realise the shortcomings of being unable to differentiate between simulated romance and real-life connections.
Boyfriend on Demand explores the intersection of technology and romance, highlight the complex relationship Mi-rae forms with a mysterious man. While she initially reckons the app as an escape, the more she finds herself invested in the virtual world, the more her real-life emotions are awakened, forcing her to confront the reality of her true feelings as well as the limitations of romance when it thrives on digital.
The TikTok Killer (Héctor Muniente, 2026)
Netflix is fanning the flames of a new true-crime documentary this week, The TikTok Killer, directed by Héctor Muniente, which recounts the mysterious disappearance of 42-year-old Esther Estepa in 2023. While on a trip in Spain, Estepa reportedly crossed paths with a social media content creator before vanishing into thin air without a trace. Determined to search for answers, her family and near ones launched their own investigation.
The TikTok Killer follows Estepa’s family’s investigation as they retrace her final steps via messages, videos, and other digital traces that still exists after her disappearance. The story is told through that digital footprint, which becomes one of the select-few sources to explain what actually happened to her. The two-episode limited series features archival footage and interviews with people who were close to Estepa, relying on the digital world that became an archive for a spine-chilling true story.
War Machine (Patrik Hughes, 2026)
For the action lovers out there, Netflix has also a scheduled a sci-fi action spectacle, War Machine, for release this week. So, in case you were feeling a little low about the lack of action titles, now you know what to watch next on Netflix on March 6th. Starring Alan Ritchson as 81, who leads a squad featuring the likes of Dennis Quaid, Stephen James, Jai Courtney, Esai Morales, and Blake Richardson, among others, the action thriller tells the story of an extraordinary mission.
War Machine revolves around the final stage of US Army Ranger selection when an elite team’s training exercise evolves into a cutthroat fight for survival, thanks to an unexpected threat. Ritchson is the combat engineer who must lead his team to victory against and outsmart the giant otherworldly threat looming upon them, highlighting the human resilience against a superior, technologically advanced adversary.
Beastars (Shin’ichi Matsumi, 2019-Present)
Based on Paru Itagaki’s award-winning manga series, Beastars is a Japanese anime adaptation featuring anthropomorphic animals inhabiting a modern, civilised world, where the cultural differences between carnivores and herbivores are imminent. The third instalment, which also serves as the final instalment in the series was split into two parts.
The first one, released in December 2024, explored Legoshi navigating life outside Cherryton Academy, training under Gouhin, and confronting a hybrid rival called Melon. The second part, which is confirmed to be released on March 7th, dives deeper into the themes of interspecies relationships, societal prejudice, and identity, converging two iconic arcs – the Interspecies Relations and Revenge of the Love Failure.
